When Started: 7th January 2014
What motivated you to start your Business?
I have several friends in fashion industry and I got know about the complexity and struggling story of newbies e.g. new models face lots of difficulties to get an assignment and after working hard they don’t get reasonable payment. Designers really need a platform to show their talent among corporates/ brands / photographers etc. Same difficulties are there for other fashion professional. I found this issue should be resolved and planned to startup this platform. Absence of such a platform and presence of other platforms (e.g. twitter for celeb, linkedin for professional etc) pushed me to create one for fashion enthusiasts.
Tell us about your Business
In one line, it’s a platform for fashion professional. Rather it’s portal for fashion enthusiasts. You can connect, share and work for assignment / projects / brand contracts. It’ll make the life easier of model, fashion designer, photographers, makeup artists. They can showcase their work to corporates / others. It’s basically a common idea being implemented in unique way which will help all fashion professional extensively.
One particular skill you got right and gave you best results.
I’m a passionate developer and I’ll make this platform such a way that user gets everything what he/she needs and will provide best user experience.
What have been your biggest challenges in running your Business so far?
Idea is basically a social platform; so in this point of view there are giant competitors. But our platform is completely integrated with facebook and implementing the idea in unique manner and in unique domain e.g. fashion. So we are not finding any challenges to compete with social giants. So far we faced problem in partnering with different brands and corporates to join our platform for their branding.
How did you overcome these challenges?
In this case I found honesty is the best policy. We honestly say them about our venture, USP ,“How it works” and how they will be benefited. They understand the issues of a start-up and most of them ended up with at-least faint assertion or collaboration. The alumni network helps a lot in case of collaboration.
What have you found the most effective way to get new clients?
As I told earlier, I explain honestly to client. And behave in a friendly manner rather that professionally. I want make a homely environment to build a good client relationship.
What advice do you give to other business owners?
I’m a student and a struggling entrepreneur. So I really don’t want to give any advice to any business owner.
How did you keep motivated through difficult times?
I believe if you’re having difficult time you must have done something good and something much better is waiting.
“If there is no friction, there is no moving forward”
– This line always motivates me in difficult time.
What are your Marketing, Funding and Team Building Strategy?
I always believe in good team rather than a big team.

I don’t want to be remembered as an “Nth” person who died. -Sonesh Jain (my friend another struggling entrepreneur)

Making life easier for fashion professional. And remove the complexity in fashion industry.
