- Prajeeth Venkatesan- Co-Founder & Director , Graduate in Information Technology Engineering, Masters in Data Networks & Security from Birmingham City University U.K, having vast knowledge and expertise in handling IT & eCommerce Operations. Recently been head of eCommerce with a QR Code based innovating shopping platform-Xygle.A fourth generation entrepreneur, Great Grandson of M.A.Venkataraman Chettiar who founded Karur Vysya Bank in early 90’s. Prajeeth, during outside India stint missed authentic jewelry gifting opportunity online to folks in India led to this idea of creating an online jewelry gifting portal Zomint. Entrepreneurship on mind, technology as opportunity,being passionate about real jewelry, interested in creating unique designs exquisitely online for consumers so far who haven’t got access to.At Zomint,Prajeeth leads Supply side of business including Product Development,Designs,Manufacturing and Supply Chain
- Akshaya Ravi- Co-Founder and Director, Graduate in Business Management (Marketing) from Christ College,Bangalore. Started her career at Goldman Sachs as Intern,worked extensively in Marketing activities in several organisations before promoting Zomint with passion on bringing in designer jewelry on technology platform. Being great grand daughter of Late Sri Ranganathan who founded Sales Stores Jewellers who established trust amoung thousands ,see the opportunity of fine and fab jewelry made available using ecommerce.

What motivated you to start your Business?
Zomint stands out in the ecommerce space. Zomint helps consumers across the globe to gift precious jewellery to their loved ones in India. When it comes to gifting, traditionally Indian consumers’ choice has been to gift a gold or diamond ornaments considering the value, intimacy and endurance. However, while living abroad the founders could not send jewellery items as timely gift to their near and dears to express the sentiments and emotions. This motivated them to establish Zomint.

Zomint holds wide range of diamond and plain gold jewellery exclusively designed for various gifting needs such as birthdays, wedding anniversaries, engagements, house warming etc. Through sophisticated technology Zomint simplifies the selection process whereby a consumer with a couple of clicks can decide his gift Ideas for any occasion and Relation. Focusing on the jewellery gift items, Zomint has been consistently investing to assemble all kinds of precious jewellery items ranging from INR 2,000 onwards under one roof to satisfy the sentiments of Indian consumers.
Delivery of a gift is much different from delivering any item a consumer may buy online. A gift will be better remembered only when it is delivered with style. For this Zomint has established a process excellence to ensure that the emotion is communicated along with the gift. Well-designed packing, tastefully printed greeting message for the respective gifting occasions, just in time delivery and wishing through call by Zomint team are embedded in Zomint’s delivery process to enhance the value of the gift and further to make it memorable one by the recipient.
By embedding technical feature in a jewellery/ornament Zomint has created Trendy Jewellery segment which is very well liked by the young consumers. One such creative wear is a QR Code Pendent that the users can scan and see many interesting deals right in their mobile phones. A Pendent with GPS for women/children safety, a Ring with NFC tag are a few more in the cards. Zomint is continuously investing its best efforts to merge Tech into Jewellery.

Digital Marketing- SEO, PPC, Social Media, Re-Marketing, Blog and discussion on forums
What advice do you give to other business owners?
Focus on Right Marketing strategy and Product Selection. Bring innovative products which is not available in offline and try to bring out innovation by analysing the problems customers are facing everyday

We do both digital marketing and offline marketing. Zomint is currently self-funded by the partners. We are trying to focus on increasing our brand recognition
